Jennifer Long Herrera has been making art for as long as she can remember. She grew up in the mountains of North Carolina and was greatly influenced by the seven years she spent in southern Mexico. For the past dozen years she has been painting, drawing, and sculpting in northeast Georgia.

Currently, her greatest focus is a series of plein air paintings of the many waterfalls in northeast Georgia. Though she works in several medias and styles all her paintings, ink drawings, and sculpture represent explorations of the physical, emotional, and spiritual world we inhabit. Her bright acrylic paintings often feature motifs of reaching hands and birds in landscapes that twist and swirl with color and pattern. Her ceramic sculptures and drawings also usually lean towards the surreal or whimsical.
